If you, like many of our recent clients, are concerned about the structural integrity of your concrete structure you are in the right place. Our first interaction with a client usually involves a discussion about the differences between Concrete "Preservation" versus, Concrete "Restoration". Which process is need and why? Put simply, if your asset requires Preservation, most often, it will also need Restoration. (Click to learn more.) Preservation of concrete goes way beyond cleaning, patching and recoating with a cementitious or epoxy based product. Preservation using EverTek's patented processes allow for the concrete to be treated deep into the concretes internal matrix. How deep can we penetrate? Third party testing has proven that in many cases our treatment can reach 11 inches in depth! Testing your assets concrete with minimally invaisive procedures will determine how deep into the concrete substructure our treatment will penetrate. Why does this matter? Concrete deteriation starts at the surface, a good maintenance plan can help prevent surface deterioration, but what about assets that have had a lack of maintenance? What about years worth of pentrations past the surface protection into the concrete? Areas such as bumper stops, railings, pillars, semi permanent attachments or other jeoporadized areas. EverTeks "Concrete Preservation" process return the vitamins and minerals deep into the concrete. This allows for concrete to return to a healthy high PH, stop carbonization inside the concrete, repair the IZT Zone around the aggregates, increase flexural strengths up to 20%, and increase PSI of the concrete in some cases over 100%.
Inadequate concrete maintenance plans or implementation of said plans can lead to "Restoration" of a concrete asset. Lack of Concrete "Restoration" leads to Concrete "Preservation" of the asset. How many times have you had your concrete asset restored? Have you neglected restoring your asset? These are two important questions when it come
Inadequate concrete maintenance plans or implementation of said plans can lead to "Restoration" of a concrete asset. Lack of Concrete "Restoration" leads to Concrete "Preservation" of the asset. How many times have you had your concrete asset restored? Have you neglected restoring your asset? These are two important questions when it comes to concrete. Having to routinely restore concrete can mean the problems with the concrete could be deeper than just the surface. Healthy concrete should not need continuous restoration.
Coastal communities will often find themselves on a 4 year restoration schedule. Salt air permiating the concrete surface, reaching the internal matrix of the concrete and steel is similar to a cancer, eating away at the strength of you structure. What is occuring beneath the visible surface never allows the restoration to have a lasting life cycle. The saying " your only as good as the surface in which you are bonded to" couldn't be more apropro. Using the most expensive products available does not negate this fact. EverTeks restoration process will not start until we understand, and explain to the client the integrity of what lies beneath. Every project is subjected to minimally invaisive testing using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Relative Humidity Tests (RH), and acidity test (PH). These tests paint a picture of what lies beneath the surface of your concrete super structure. These tests will identify damage to the internal rebar, moisture inside your slab, and acidity level. Why are these three indicators important? They are the least invaisive litmus tests that provide a picture to the health of your concrete. Concrete cannot function without healthy rebar. Deicing agents, chlorides, and salt air eat at rebar when combined with a carrier such as water. This can also cause carbonization, testing for carbonization of the concrete is a 4th test we dictate if the first three come back with negative results. RH Testing dictates the moisture levels inside you concrete, when moisture is present something is not correct and will add to deterioration. The steel inside your concrete forms a protective layer around it in the presence of a high PH. Concrete with a high PH is healthy concrete, conversely low PH is an indicator of unhealthy concrete and possible reinforcing steel deterioration. In these cases, EverTeks "Concrete Presservation" techniques are employeed.

Concrete and surface maintenance is arguably one of the most important aspects to the longevity of a quality concrete structure. Regular moisture testing (RH) and use of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) on a concrete structure can identify potential costly repairs. Customized long term maintenance plans are custom tailored to individual structures. No two structures are the same, concrete and concrete finishing techniques differ not just from project to project, but variances are often found from concrete load to concrete load. Don't worry, even if EverTek did not do your restoration, or if you are concerned about the thoroughness of the organization currently performing your maintenance... EverTek Concrete Restoration will be glad to have an onsite consultation about your concerns and can arrange an onsite evaluation.
EverTek Concrete Restoration will be happy to apply finishes to any concrete surface in need. Are slip resistant or anti-slip concrete coatings needed, or a freshening up of the asset in question. Perhaps concern about areas that allow water intrusion, punch throughs, or areas that are not draining properly. Before you coat your concrete
Before you coat your concrete take just a few moments to call or email EverTek about your project. Most onsite consultations are free and knowing what lies beneath the surface of you concrete structure is imperative to knowing how to move forward. "Concrete Finishes" coupled with EverTek Concrete Restorations' Maintenance Programs, Concrete Restoration Program or Concrete Preservation demands are specifically customized to your assets needs.
